Discerning the Last
Days Delusion and Pharisee Spirit Part 5
Discern the Sign
of The Times: Will Christians Go
Through The Great Tribulation?
Kato Mivule
October 30, 2007
Having dwelt on the historical origins of the pre tribulation
rapture, I will endeavor to spend much time on what the Bible
actually speaks about the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and
Saints going through the Great Tribulation in this article. We
shall take a look at the teachings of Jesus Christ concerning
His Second coming.
I
believe that the pre tribulation rapture has been one of the
greatest distortions of scriptures concerning The Second Coming
of Jesus Christ. The Pre Tribulation Rapture is a not only a lie
but a hoax that has been exploited by today’s Televangelists to
make millions in book and movie sales.
Because of the Pre Tribulation Doctrine, many saints are blinded
to the signs of the times that point to The Second Coming of
Jesus Christ and as such disobeying The Lord’s command to watch.
I
will endeavor to take a look at the issue of the Saints going
through the Great Tribulation as I have already spent
considerable time on the topic of the Rapture happening after
the tribulation of those days in my article posted online…
http://www.yesumulungi.com/Commentary/Comment45.htm
It is important to note that no piece of scripture contradicts
the other in the Bible… If this happens as you do your study,
then your premise must be rechecked. We also note that no
scripture is of private interpretation and that the bible is
self sufficient to interpret itself.
2 Peter 1:20-21
(20)
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any
private interpretation.
(21)
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but
holy men of God spake
as
they
were
moved by the Holy Ghost.
The Account of Daniel
The Saints go through the
Tribulation…
First we take a look at scriptures that speak of the saints
going through the tribulation during the time of the Antichrist…
The Antichrist persecutes the saints and fights against them and
this goes on until The Lord comes and judges the Antichrist…
The saints spoken of here are saints in the last days as Daniel
is told clearly that the visions pertain to the latter days or
last days. The New Testament confirms this when we read the Book
of Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21 and the Book of Revelation…
Don’t let anyone deceive you, the Bible does not contradict
itself, the saints will go through the Great Tribulation and
face heavy persecution from the Antichrist…
The Saints Posses the
Kingdom…but after the raise and fall of the antichrist…
Daniel 7:16-18
(16)
I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the
truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the
interpretation of the things.
(17)
These great beasts, which are four,
are
four kings,
which
shall arise out of the earth.
(18)
But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and
possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.
Daniel was given prophesies concerning the last days and they
detail the presence of a terrible beast government of the
Antichrist and the saints being present during the reign of the
antichrist…
The Antichrist shall make war
against the saints until the Ancient of Days Comes…
Daniel 7:19-22
(19)
Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was
diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth
were
of iron, and his nails of brass;
which
devoured, broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with his
feet;
(20)
And of the ten horns that
were
in his head, and
of
the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even
of
that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spoke very great
things, whose look
was
more stout than his fellows.
(21)
I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and
prevailed against them;
(22)
Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the
saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints
possessed the kingdom.
The little horn that speaks great things here is
the antichrist that shall make war against the saints of God in
the Last Days…so, brethren, don’t be deceived that persecution
and the great tribulation will not be endured by the saints… The
Antichrist makes war against the saints…until the Ancient of
Days comes…that is for 3.5 years until the Ancient of Days comes
and judges the Antichrist…
Revelation 13:6-10
(6)
And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme
his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
(7)
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to
overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and
tongues, and nations.
(8)
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names
are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the
foundation of the world.
(9)
If any man have an ear, let him hear.
(10)
He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that
killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is
the patience and the faith of the saints.
We see that this is confirmed in the Book of
Revelation that the Saints endure the heavy persecution from the
Antichrist… Saints, we better get ready; we are going to have to
endure the 3.5 year Great Tribulation…
The Antichrist wears out the saints…
Daniel 7:23-25
(23)
Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon
earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall
devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in
pieces.
(24)
And the ten horns out of this kingdom
are
ten kings
that shall arise: and
another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the
first, and he shall subdue three kings.
(25)
And he shall speak
great
words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of
the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they
shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the
dividing of time.
This is clear evidence that the pre tribulation
theory is false and the Mid Tribulation theory is a hoax. The
saints endure the brutality and terrible persecution of the
Antichrist. The fourth beast in the above text is
representative of the Antichrist that shall make war against the
saints for 3.5 years During the Great Tribulation…
The Antichrist is judged and the Kingdom is given
to the saints…
Daniel 7:26-27
(26)
But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his
dominion, to consume and to destroy
it
unto the end.
(27)
And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom
under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the
saints of the most High, whose kingdom
is
an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey
him.
There is no Kingdom that is given to the saints before the
Antichrist is judged. The Antichrist fights against the saints,
then the Antichrist is judged and then the Kingdom is given to
the Saints… This order of events is clear even throughout the
book of Revelation… The Antichrist (Beast) rises out of the Sea,
makes war against the saints, and gets judged when Jesus Christ
appears and then the Saints are given the Kingdom…
The 70 Weeks of Daniel…
Daniel 9:24-27
(24)
Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy
city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins,
and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in
everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and
prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
(25)
Know therefore and understand,
that
from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build
Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince
shall
be
seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be
built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
(26)
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but
not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come
shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof
shall
be
with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are
determined.
(27)
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in
the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the
oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he
shall make
it desolate, even until
the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the
desolate.
In verse 27, we see that the Antichrist confirms
a covenant with many for one week and breaks this covenant in
the middle of that week. It is the Antichrist that causes the
abomination of desolation…in the middle of the week – 3.5 years.
It is after this time that the Great Tribulation begins for 3.5
years and the Antichrist severely fights against the Saints of
God…
The Antichrist takes away the
daily sacrifice and does the abomination…
Daniel 11:30-32
(30)
For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he
shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the
holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have
intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.
(31)
And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the
sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily
sacrifice,
and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
(32)
And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by
flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be
strong, and do
exploits.
The scriptures here confirm that the Antichrist takes away the
daily sacrifice and causes the abomination that makes desolate…
However, the Antichrist comes in by flatteries or lies and false
peace programs… Some have argued that the ‘he’ in Daniel 9:24-27
is Jesus Christ…this is very wrong. The ‘he’ in Daniel 9:24-27
is clearly the Antichrist as we see in the verse above…
The Great Tribulation will be a
time of purging for the people of God…
Daniel 11:33-36
(33)
And they that understand among the people shall instruct many:
yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity,
and by spoil,
many
days.
(34)
Now when they shall fall, they shall be helped with a little
help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.
(35)
And
some
of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge,
and to make
them
white,
even
to the time of the end: because
it
is
yet for a time appointed.
(36)
And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt
himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak
marvelous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till
the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined
shall be done.
This verse gives us the reason for the saints enduring the great
tribulation. This will be a time for purging and to make them
white even to the time of the End… That is why we read of the
saints who come out of the Great Tribulation…
Revelation 7:13-14
(13)
And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these
which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
(14)
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These
are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed
their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
The Tribulation is for the Church, the Saints, The Elect of God,
that The Lord will purge us of every filth and false doctrines.
The Church has fallen into a place of sin and false teachings
but during the Tribulation, The Lord will purify and purge His
Church. Notice that these are saints who come out of The Great
Tribulation…Yes, we endure the Great Tribulation. Don’t be
deceived that we don’t…
Michael the great prince shall
stand up, Satan is cast to the earth…
Daniel 12:1-2
(1)
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which
standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a
time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation
even
to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be
delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
(2)
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall
awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame
and
everlasting contempt.
Matthew 24:21-22
(21)
For
then
shall
be
great
tribulation,
such as
was
not
since
the
beginning
of
the
world
to
this time,
no,
nor
ever
shall
be.
(22)
And
except
those
days
should
be
shortened,
there
should
no
flesh
be
saved:
but
for
the elect's sake
those
days
shall
be
shortened.
During that time Michael the Archangel will
standup and fight against the dragon and cast him to the earth.
Then a time of great trouble will begin but for 3.5 years and
Satan will give his powers to the Antichrist who will then fight
against the saints for 3.5 years…
The devil still has access to Heaven where he
goes to do no other business but accuse the brethren like in the
case of Job. However, that time is soon over and he will be cast
down to the earth…
Job 1:6-7
(6)
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present
themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
(7)
And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan
answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth,
and from walking up and down in it.
2 Thessalonians 2:7-9
(7)
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now
letteth
will
let,
until he be taken out of the way.
(8)
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall
consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the
brightness of his coming:
(9)
Even him,
whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and
signs and lying wonders,
Revelation 12:7-9
(7)
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought
against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
(8)
And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in
heaven.
(9)
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the
Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast
out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Revelation 12:10
(10)
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come
salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the
power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast
down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Revelation 12:13
(13)
And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he
persecuted the woman which brought forth the man
child.
Revelation 12:17
(17)
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war
with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of
God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Clearly, the restrainer is Michael and when he
standup and war breakouts in heaven, Satan will be cast to the
earth and then the devil will give his powers to the Antichrist,
who then will persecute and kill the saints for 3.5 years…
The accuser of the brethren is cast out of Heaven
to the Earth and then begins the Great Tribulation for 3.5
years… The times of Satan being cast to the earth are limited to
just 3.5 years. The Devil also knows that his time here on earth
is limited…
Revelation 12:12
(12)
Therefore rejoice,
ye
heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitants of
the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you,
having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short
time.
How long will the Great
Tribulation be…?
Daniel 12:6-7
(6)
And
one
said to the man clothed in linen, which
was
upon the waters of the river, How long
shall
it
be
to
the end of these wonders?
(7)
And I heard the man clothed in linen, which
was
upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and
his left hand unto heaven, and swore by him that liveth forever
that
it
shall
be
for a time, times, and a half; and when he shall have
accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these
things
shall be finished.
The Timing given in the verse above is in context with the Great
Tribulation and how long it will take; it is in line with the
years that the fourth beast will persecute and kill the saints.
It is in context with the Matthew 24:21-22 that those days would
be shortened as Jesus Christ stated… The Saints will have to
endure 3.5 years of the great tribulation… In the verse above we
see that give as time, times, and a half, representative of 3.5
years…
Many shall be purified during
the Great Tribulation of 3.5 years…
Daniel 12:8-10
(8)
And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what
shall
be
the end of these
things?
(9)
And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words
are
closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
(10)
Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the
wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall
understand; but the wise shall understand.
Once again in context with all the other
scriptures we have studied, the many that will be purified will
be made white during this time of trouble or the Great
Tribulation time that the angel spoke about as being 3.5 years.
The Saints therefore endure the great tribulation; they endure
the persecution and even the killings at the hands of the
Antichrist. Those who preach that somehow the saints will escape
this ought to study this subject closely once again…
The Timing of this Great
Tribulation is given again 3.5 years…
Daniel 12:11-13
(11)
And from the time
that
the daily
sacrifice shall be taken
away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up,
there
shall
be
a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
(12)
Blessed
is
he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and
five and thirty days.
(13)
But go thou thy way till the end
be:
for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the
days.
The scripture above puts to rest the argument if
the saints endure the great tribulation. We see that from the
time the daily sacrifice is taken away and the abomination of
desolation is setup there shall be 3.5 years or 1290 days.
Lets remember that this verse is in context with
the all the other verses in Daniel chapters 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and
12. The one who takes away the daily sacrifices and sets up the
abomination that makes desolate is none other than the
Antichrist, the Beast, the Little Horn as referred the Book of
Daniel and Book of Revelation.
Remember that the reign of the Antichrist can
only be stopped by Jesus Christ at His second coming when He
shall destroy the antichrist with the Sword that comes from His
(Christ’s) mouth. This is also the time that the resurrection of
those who have died in Christ happens and then we who are
remaining alive are caught up in the air to meet The Lord and
forever we shall be with Him.
Also notice that he states that those who wait
until the 1335 days are blessed. Who are these he is speaking
about who are blessed to wait until the 1335 days are over? It
is the Saints of God which is you and me, not angels or some
other paranormal beings. Pre Tribulationist always ignore such
clear scriptures and think that those saints are some Israel but
not the Church…this is a lie cause this scripture lines up well
with the Book of Revelation and Revelation was written to the
Saints – the Church of Christ.
The Account of Jesus Christ And The Apostle Paul
Saints are delivered up to
Tribulation…to be afflicted…
Matthew 24:9-10
(9)
Then
shall
they
deliver you up
to
be
afflicted,
and
shall
kill
you:
and
ye
shall
be
hated
of
all
nations
for my name's sake.
(10)
And
then
shall
many
be
offended,
and
shall
betray
one another,
and
shall
hate
one another.
Luke 21:12-19
(12)
But before all
these things, they shall lay their hands on you, and shall
persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons,
bringing you before kings and governors for my name's sake.
(13)
It shall turn out
unto you for a testimony.
(14)
Settle it
therefore in your hearts, not to meditate beforehand how to
answer:
(15)
for I will give
you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be
able to withstand or to gainsay.
(16)
But ye shall be delivered up even by
parents, and brethren, and kinsfolk, and friends; and
some
of you shall they cause to be put to death.
(17)
And ye shall be
hated of all men for my name's sake.
(18)
And not a hair of
your head shall perish.
(19)
In your patience
ye shall win your souls.
Jesus Christ clearly states that we shall be
delivered up to tribulation and shall be killed and hated of ALL
nations for His Name sake… Now, think about it, what causes ALL
nations to hate the Church of Jesus Christ and persecute it?
This hate is not just physical but Diabolical. It is hate from
Satan that he fills men’s hearts to hate the True saints of God…
Many will be offended and betray one another I believe partly
because of the lies the Pre Tribulation preachers have told
people that they will not suffer tribulation and when it comes
suddenly, they get offended…
He that Endures to the
End…Saints Called to Endure to the end…
Matthew 24:12-14
(12)
And
because
iniquity
shall
abound,
the
love
of
many
shall
wax
cold.
(13)
But
he
that shall endure
unto
the
end,
the same
shall
be
saved.
(14)
And
this
gospel
of
the
kingdom
shall
be
preached
in
all
the
world
for
a
witness
unto
all
nations;
and
then
shall
the
end
come.
Mark 13:13
(13)
And
ye
shall
be
hated
of
all
men
for my name's sake:
but
he
that shall endure
unto
the
end,
the same
shall
be
saved.
Jesus Christ is clear here that those who will
endure to the end are saved. This is speaking of none other but
the Saints. We are called to endure during this time to the End
and be saved… It lines up very well with Daniel’s account that
blessed is he that comes to the 1335 day… A call for endurance
is repeated in the Book of Revelation… The Gospel then must be
preached to the entire world as a witness unto all nations, and
then the end shall come.
I believe that there is going to be a worldwide
evangelism once again by the saints of God as a witness unto all
nations after which the end comes. Some Western so-called
missiologists claim that the gospel has been preached in almost
every nation on earth but I strongly disagree because what is
being preached is most of the time a denominational gospel and
an apostate gospel on the global Christian airwaves such as TBN.
However, there is coming a time during the Great Tribulation
that every nation on earth will have the gospel preached to them
as a witness.
This is in context with Revelation 11 were The
Lord send His two witnesses. The two witnesses are NOT two men
in spiting fire in Jerusalem as many Left Behind-ists have
wanted us to believe but are the saints from the Church – Two
Lampstands and the Saints from Israel – Two Olive Trees…
Romans 11:24
(24)
For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by
nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive
tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural
branches,
be grafted into their own olive tree?
Revelation 1:20
(20)
The
mystery
of
the
seven
stars
which
thou
sawest
in
my
right hand,
and
the
seven
golden
candlesticks.
The
seven
stars
are
the
angels
of
the
seven
churches:
and
the
seven
candlesticks
which
thou
sawest
are
the
seven
churches.
Revelation 11:3-4
(3)
And I will give unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a
thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
(4)
These are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks, standing
before the Lord of the earth.
Revelation 11:7-9
(7)
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast
that cometh up out of the abyss shall make war with them, and
overcome them, and kill them.
(8)
And their dead bodies
lie
in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called
Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.
(9)
And from among the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations do
men
look upon their dead bodies three days and a half, and suffer
not their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb.
Revelation 11:10
(10)
And they that dwell on the earth rejoice over them, and make
merry; and they shall send gifts one to another; because these
two prophets tormented them that dwell on the earth.
Notice that their testimony is for 3.5 years and after which the
Antichrist fights against them and overcomes them by killing
them… When they are killed, peoples from all tribes, tongues,
and nations do look upon their dead bodies and rejoice…
Jesus Christ warns us about the
Abomination of Desolation…
Matthew 24:15-16
(15)
When
ye
therefore
shall
see
the
abomination
of
desolation,
spoken
of
by
Daniel
the
prophet,
stand
in
the
holy
place,
(whoso readeth,
let
him
understand:)
(16)
Then
let
them
which
be
in
Judea
flee
into
the
mountains:
Mark 13:14
(14)
But
when
ye
shall
see
the
abomination
of
desolation,
spoken of
by
Daniel
the
prophet,
standing
where
it
ought
not,
let
(him that readeth
understand,)
then
let
them
that
be
in
Judea
flee
to
the
mountains:
Luke 21:20-21
(20)
But when ye see
Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that her desolation
is at hand.
(21)
Then let them
that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains; and let them that
are in the midst of her depart out; and let not them that are in
the country enter therein.
Jesus Christ certainly referred to the Book of
Daniel. We have to refer back to the Book of Daniel to read and
understand prophesies therein especially concerning the
Abomination of Desolation since Jesus Christ referred to it.
We know from our reading above, that the
Antichrist causes the abomination of desolation in the Midst of
the Week of the 70th Week of Daniel, which is in the
midst of the 7 year ‘confirmed’ agreement. It is during this
time after 3.5 years that the Antichrist breaks his covenant
with Israel and declares himself to be God then causes the
abomination of desolation and persecutes the saints. From that
time on, the Antichrist is given no more than 3.5 years which we
normally refer to as the Great Tribulation.
However, one notes the instructions that Jesus
Christ gives in the above scriptures when the abomination of
desolation is setup… The instructions are to flee from Judea
unto the mountains. I believe these instructions are specific to
saints living in and around Jerusalem at this time… However, on
the spiritual side, the saints every where are to seek God’s
Will for where he wants them to be and what He wants them to do
during this time…
Then there shall be the Great
Tribulation…
Matthew 24:21-22
(21)
For
then
shall
be
great
tribulation,
such as
was
not
since
the
beginning
of
the
world
to
this time,
no,
nor
ever
shall
be.
(22)
And
except
those
days
should
be
shortened,
there
should
no
flesh
be
saved:
but
for
the elect's sake
those
days
shall
be
shortened.
Mark 13:19-20
(19)
For
in
those
days
shall
be
affliction,
such as
was
not
from
the
beginning
of
the
creation
which
God
created
unto
this
time,
neither
shall
be.
(20)
And
except
that
the
Lord
had
shortened
those
days,
no
flesh
should
be
saved:
but
for the elect's sake,
whom
he
hath
chosen,
he
hath
shortened
the
days.
Luke 21:22-24
(22)
For these are
days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be
fulfilled.
(23)
Woe unto them
that are with child and to them that give suck in those days!
for there shall be great distress upon the land, and wrath unto
this people.
(24)
And they shall
fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led captive into all
the nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the
Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
After the abomination of desolation is setup as Jesus Christ has
told us, then there comes the Great Tribulation. Now, one
notices that The Lord has not spoken about the Rapture of the
saints yet. And all Jesus Christ is speaking confirms what
Daniel wrote and does not contradict it.
After the Abomination of Desolation is setup, there will be
great tribulation and persecution against the saints or the
elect. Jesus Christ states how those days will have to be
shortened otherwise no flesh would be saved.
