Rise of Europe, Fall of Iran-Islamism, and the Antichrist

Europe and modern day Islamic expansionism…
The prophecy in the Book of Daniel Chapter 8 concerning the Goat and the Ram is quite interesting insofar as current affairs are concerned today. There seems to be a growing rift between Europe and the Islamic World that when one looks closely to the Daniel 8 prophecy, one does not fail to see a replay of the events in our modern times.
 
In Europe particularly, there is an antipathy towards the Muslim immigrants and as such there has been riots in countries such as France by Muslim youth to the dismay of indigenous French people.
 
 
In his 1993 article ‘The Clash of Civilizations?’ Samuel P. Huntington notes his observations in regards to what he saw as a future conflict between the West and Islam. However, in my view, and in light of Daniel 8 Bible Prophecy, this will not just be a ‘Clash of Civilizations’ but it will be the West 'Crashing  the Islamic Civilization'… In other words it will be the ‘Crashing of Civilizations’… The 'Islamic-Eastern Civilization' has no powers to "clash with Western Civilization". However, the Imperialistic Western Civilization has all the weapons in her Arsenal to Totally Crash and subdue the 'Islamic-Eastern' Civilization.

Some Bible Prophecy students believe that Islam will become a global dominance force…however, when one studies Daniel 8, one does not fail to see that Islam will be crashed under the feet of powerful western global powers and no one will rescue Islam…as of today, it is only Iran and Radical Islamists that stand in the way…
 
The War is between the West and Persia - Islam
As I was reading through Daniel chapter 8, I noticed something very interesting concerning Europe or the West and the Islamic World led by Persia insofar as Bible Prophecy is concerned… Daniel was given a vision in which he saw a Ram with two horns pushing West, North, and South. The Ram did as he pleased, grew great and none could deliver out of his hand.
 
As Daniel was still watching, then behold he saw a He Goat coming from the West on the face of the whole earth that he did not even touch the ground. The He Goat had a notable horn between his eyes and moved towards the Ram with anger knocking him to the ground and trampling over him that no one could deliver the Ram out of the hand of the He Goat.
 
Daniel continues watching as the He Goat grows great and did as he pleased. However, the horn between the eyes of the He Goat was broken and out of its place grew four notable horns to the for winds of heaven.
 
As Daniel watched the four horns on the He Goat, there came out of them a Little Horn which became great and extended its reign towards the South, the East, and towards the Pleasant Land (Israel).
 
The Little Horn grew great and…
  • The Little Horn exalted itself against the Host of Heaven…
  • The Little Horn cast down some of the Host and of the stars to the ground…
  • The Little Horn stamped upon them…
  • The Little horn magnified himself even to the Prince of the Host…
  • The Little Horn took away daily sacrifices…
  • The Little Horn cast Truth to the ground…
  • The Little Horn practiced and prospered…
  • There is no doubt that the Little Horn is the Antichrist…
 
When one looks at this vision given to the Prophet Daniel, one can easily overlook the significance of this prophecy insofar as the last days are concerned, by simply looking at History Books and concluding that Greece, Alexander the Great, and Antiochus Epiphanies fulfilled this prophecy.
 
Such individuals forget the most important key part of this prophecy has to do with the appearance of the Antichrist – the Little Horn who will govern a one world government. It is this part of prophecy that we look forward to being fulfilled – the reign of The Antichrist…
 
                                      
 
Daniel 8 speaks about the LAST DAYS, the very days in which we now live. Therefore, it is imperative that we get to know the meaning of the symbolism used in the prophecy as they point to the coming of the Antichrist – Little Horn who will greatly affect Christianity and Christians just prior to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
 
Daniel 8:1-16
(1)  In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.
(2)  And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.
(3)  Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.
(4)  I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.
(5)  And as I was considering, behold, a he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.
(6)  And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.
(7)  And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with anger against him, and smote the ram, and broke his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.
(8)  Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
(9)  And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.
(10)  And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.
(11)  Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
(12)  And a host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practiced, and prospered.
(13)  Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spoke, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?
(14)  And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
(15)  And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.
(16)  And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.
 
The Interpretation…
Daniel was given the interpretation of the vision concerning the Ram and the He Goat.  Daniel was specifically told that the vision pertained to the time of the end. In other words that the Vision had to do with the latter days, last days, or end times.

Daniel was told that the Ram represented the kings of Media and Persia. The He Goat was representative of Greece and the great horn between his eyes is its first king. This great horn will be broken, meaning to die…and his kingdom will be divided into four kingdoms.

In other words, four kings shall arise and take the kingdom and divide it into themselves with really no effort since it was the previous king who fought to gain the whole kingdom in the first place.
 
However, the Little Horn is representative of,
  • A King of Fierce countenance…
  • And understanding dark sentences shall stand up…
  • His power shall be mighty, but not of his power…
  • And he shall destroy wonderfully…
  • And shall prosper, and practice…
  • And shall destroy the mighty and holy people…
  • Through his policy he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand…
  • And he shall magnify himself in his heart…
  • And by peace shall destroy many…
  • He shall also stand up against the Prince of princes…
  • But he shall be broken without hand…
  • Certainly, the Little Horn is the Antichrist…
 
Daniel was told to shut up the vision for it was set to take place many days ahead in reference to the times of the end, latter days, or last days, which is the very time in which we live today…
 
Daniel 8:17-27
(17)  So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.
(18)  Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.
(19)  And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.
(20)  The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.
(21)  And the rough goat is the king of Greece: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.
(22)  Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.
(23)  And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
(24)  And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
(25)  And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
(26)  And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.
(27)  And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.
 
Was this a Timeline?
Looking at Daniel’s Goat and Ram vision, we see that The Lord was giving a time line of events to the second coming of The Lord.  We see that Daniel was being told in essence that the following would happen…
 
  • The Rise of the Media Persian Empire…
    • This empire would be a combination of two kingdoms – two horns, notably Medes and Persia
    • This empire would push (expand, influence, control) West, North, and South
    • This empire would become great…
    • This empire would be overthrown by the Greek empire
 
  • The Rise of the Greek Empire…
    • This empire would have a notable horn – powerful leader
    • This empire would attack swiftly and furiously the Media Persian empire…
    • This empire would conquer the Media Persia…
    • This empire would be great…
    • This empire would have its first king ‘broken off’ or cut off or die prematurely as in cut off…
    • This empire would then be divided into for kingdoms with four notable kings…
    • Out of these four kings would raise the Little Horn, who would be a king of fierce countenance…
 
  • The Rise of the Little Horn - Antichrist…
    • He shall be a leader of fierce countenance…
    • He shall understanding dark sentences…
    • He shall stand up…
    • His power shall be mighty, but not of his power…he shall be empowered by the Satan…
    • He shall destroy wonderfully…
    • He shall prosper, and practice…he will create a false peace and safety season…
    • He shall destroy the mighty…he shall destroy mighty people or nations
    • He shall destroy the holy people…he shall persecute and kill them…not destroy their faith but overcome them in as to kill them…
    • Through his policy he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand…he shall be cunning and a man of great deception and flatteries…
    • He shall magnify himself in his heart…he shall call himself ‘God’…and exalt himself in God’s temple just as Satan has tried to do before…
    • And by peace shall destroy many…he will come in with false peace treaties and a false peace, therefore deceiving many and destroying many…
    • He shall also stand up against the Prince of princes…he shall fight against Jesus Christ the Prince of Princes and Lord of lords…
    • But he shall be broken without hand…The Lord Jesus Christ will destroy him at His second coming…
 
A Brief Look at History…A Type and Shadow of things to come…
Did the prophecy of Daniel Chapter 8 come to pass or should expect to see it fulfilled in the future? If it did come to pass, did the Messiah return to reign over the earth and establish his Kingdom? Did the Antichrist reign 3.5 years? Was the prophecy in Daniel chapter 8 partially fulfilled and that we should expect another fulfillment?
 
Was its fulfillment merely a type and shadow of things of things to come? What does Daniel chapter 8 pertain to us in this day and age and what warnings does it give to our generation? All these and much more are the questions we shall endeavor to take a look at.
 
The Ram – Media Persian Empire
The Media-Persian Empire was founded by Cyrus the Great in 550 BC to 330 BC under the Achaemenid dynasty that ended with the conquest of the Greeks under Alexander the Great.

The Media-Persian Empire did expand to the West, North, and South as Daniel saw in the vision of the Goat and the Ram in Daniel chapter 8. To the West the Persians extended up to Europe, to the North, all the way to North Turkey and the Caucasus Mountains, to the South, it extended Egypt and Libya.  
 
Interestingly today this area with exception from Greece and Macedonia, is largely Islamic and under Islamic governments. Islamic influence from Iran in this region will play a vital role in world conflicts to come.

The Goat – Greece Empire
As a result of expansions by the Persian Empire to the west, the Macedonians (Greeks) halted the advance of the Persians further west. However, under Alexander the Great, the Greeks advanced with swiftness to the East and with surprise conquered the Persians, expanding their territorial boundaries to the East.  Alexander the Great was king of Macedon from 336-323 BC and it was by his war skills that the Greek Empire expanded and took over the known world then.  
 
Alexander defeated Darius III king of Persia at the Battle of Issus in 333 BC. There shortly the Persian Empire collapsed under Alexander the Great who conquered all the Persian Territory all the way to the Border with India. However, his victories were cut short when he died one month before he was 33 years of age. Some suggest he died of fever, drunkenness, and or poisoning.

According to Josephus, a Jewish Historian, Alexander the Great treated Jews well and allowed them to continue with their Jewish laws and also had many Jews go the city of Alexandria in Egypt which became a center of philosophy, study, and knowledge.
 
It is Alexander the Great that the Prophecy of Daniel chapter 8 speaks about when it speaks of the He Goat and the Horn between his eyes. Alexander the Great is that Horn between the He Goat’s eyes. In Daniel’s prophecy, the He Goat’s Horn between his eyes was broken at the height of its conquest…and so did Alexander the Great die at an early age.
 
After the death of Alexander the Great, his empire was divided into four kingdoms between his four generals just as the Daniel has seen in his vision in Daniel chapter 8. The He Goat’s horn was broken but out of that came other four notable horns, and also another Little Horn. The four generals who divided Alexander’s Kingdom according to Josephus the Jewish Historian include…
 
  • Seleucus took over Babylon, including Judea
  • Lysimachus took over Hellespont
  • Cassander took over Macedonia
  • Ptolemy took over Egypt to the South
 
It was Ptolemy and Seleucus who kept fighting over the control of Judea and Jerusalem. Josephus records that Ptolemy used treachery to take over Jerusalem, making pacts with the Jews but later betrayed them. However, after that Seleucus did use the same tricks and entered Jerusalem without a fight and afterwards did not keep his pacts with the Jews and betrayed them. This would lead to a series of unrest and revolts of the Jews against Seleucus and his Seleucid Dynasty that followed. 
 
It is the fighting between the Ptolemy Dynasty and the Seleucid Dynasty that Daniel received a vision and explanation in Daniel chapter 11, describing the fighting between the King of the North and the King of the south. Ptolemy Dynasty being in the South – Egypt, and the Seleucid Dynasty being in the North, controlling Syria, and former Babylonian territories.
 
It is from the Seleucid Dynasty that Antiochus IV Epiphanes (175 – 164 BC) arose. Josephus the Jewish historian records that Antiochus led an expedition south from Syria the center of the Seleucid Dynasty to Jerusalem after making some agreements with some High Priests.
 
He then went down to conquer Egypt but later was deterred by the Romans who drove him away and left humiliated. He later returned to Jerusalem taking it without a fight and killed Jews that opposed him. He came in peacefully but later broke his agreements with the Jews and plundered Jerusalem of riches and money including the riches in the Temple. 
 
 
He took treasures from the Temple and stopped daily sacrifices, and all other Jewish customs. He confiscated and destroyed copies of scripture and tortured those who were found in possession of them, killing many of them. He went ahead to offer a pig on God’s Altar in the Temple.
 
Antiochus wanted to teach Greek cultures and customs to his entire kingdom and this involved the worship of Zeus. The Jews refused to heed to his demands and there Antiochus sought to destroy all those who opposed him.
 
However, this led to the famous Jewish Maccabaen revolts but some Jews complied with Antiochus betrayed their brethren. Josephus records how the Samaritans betrayed the Jews by claiming to be descendants of the Medes and Persians and offered a Temple to the Jupiter the god of Antiochus, to which Antiochus was pleased and did not attack the Samaritans. Josephus records that Antiochus desecrated the temple for 3 years and this came to pass 408 years after the prophecy of Daniel in chapter 8 was given.
 
Later the Temple was cleansed by the leaders of the Maccabaen revolt. During this time of the Maccabaen revolts, Antiochus sent a number of generals and armies that perished in Judea, he was so angered by the results that he decided to take on the expeditions personally but his army was short of money and supplies that he turned east to Persia and went to plunder riches.
 
However, he faced resistance in Persia and continual news of defeat of his generals in Judea troubled him much that he died on his way back to attack and conquer Judea and stop the revolts.
 
The historical background to Daniel 8 is important as it is a type and shadow of things to come. We must note that the main theme of the prophecy is the coming of the Antichrist who must reign for 3.5 years and then Christ Jesus returns and it is in this light that we see the events surrounding Antiochus Epiphanes and his desecration of the Temple in Jerusalem.
 
Is Daniel chapter 8 already fulfilled?
Many bible scholars have concluded that the prophecy of Daniel chapter 8 has been fulfilled and is now history because of the events that happened with Antiochus IV Epiphanes in Jerusalem, mainly his desecration of the Jewish Temple, and Antiochus dying without human intervention. 
 
However, when we read Daniel chapter 8 carefully we see that the Angel gave Daniel a SPECIFIC time in which this prophesy would be fulfilled. The Angel further told Daniel to seal up the prophesy for it was to happen at a certain time frame and that time frame is the Times of the End, End Times, Last Days, or Latter Times.  Many Scholars miss this and then try to fix their own time periods.
 
  
Is there a Partial and Final Fulfillment of Bible Prophecy?
We must also be aware of the fact that in many instances, Bible Prophecy seems to have a partial symbolic fulfillment pointing to the future complete fulfillment of the same Bible Prophecy. In other words, we have the initial fulfillment of Bible Prophecy that acts as a type and shadow of the final and complete fulfillment of same Bible Prophecy.
 
Take for instance the prophecies concerning the coming of the Antichrist as mentioned in Daniel 8 and Daniel 11. In both instances we see a type of Antichrist – Antiochus Epiphanes who partially fulfilled the prophecies in Daniel 8 and 11.
 
However, we see that The Kingdom of Christ was not established physically and no Second Coming of Christ. Also many bible prophecy students make the mistake of thinking that Titus in 70 AD was the Antichrist and fulfilled Daniel 9:27 since he lead the destruction of Jerusalem.
 
However, one has to ask themselves, what about the Second coming of Messiah, did that happen? What about the resurrection of the righteous as prophesied in Daniel 12, did that take place? What about the prophecies given to John in the Book of Revelation which certainly complement prophecies in the book of Daniel, did those get fulfilled?
 
So, we come to one conclusion that these prophecies are future and just because we had personalities that resembled and acted like the Antichrist, these historical personalities like Antiochus Epiphanes only were types and shadows of the REAL Antichrist who is to come.
 
The Prophecies in Daniel 8 pertain to the Last days in which we live and will have their full fulfillment then. It is important that we watch and don’t become blind to events happening before us, yet The Lord has already given us warnings before hand.
 
The Vision refers to the Time of the End
Brethren, we have to look at Daniel chapter 8 carefully as the Angel spoke to Daniel when the Vision would be fulfilled…  Just because we see a partial symbolic fulfillment does not negate the fact final or complete fulfillment of that Prophecy will take place.
 
The message was repeated three times to Daniel as to the timing of this vision and it is just clear that every one can see this vision is set to happen in the Latter Time, End Time, or Time of The End…
 
Daniel 8:17

Historical perspective…type and shadow of things to come Part 2…
However, the historical background we discussed earlier gives us an idea of what would happen when the vision is finally fulfilled… Daniel 8 gives us clues as to the events that will take place in these last days and also the major global players involved… We can take a look at the fall of the Persian Empire and the Rise of the Greek empire and deduce what will happen in the end times, the times which we live now…
 
From History we see the following as to what happened between the fall of the Persian Empire and the collapse of the Greek Empire at the death of Alexander the Great…and later we shall come to the players in the same region and what is transpiring there…
 
  • The Persian Empire was a threat to the Greeks…
  • The Persian Empire was expanding west…
  • The Greeks resisted this expansion of the Persian Empire westward…
  • A power leader arose among the Greeks – Alexander the Great…
  • This New Greek Leader led the Greeks to conquer the advancing Persians…
  • The New Greek Leader Conquered the Persian Empire…
  • The New Greek Leader expanded his empire all the way to India…
  • The New Greek Leader made his headquarters in Babylon…
  • The New Greek Leader died and was cut short after Conquering Persian Territory…
  • The Greek empire collapsed and was divided between four generals after the death of Alexander the Great…
  • Two of the Generals fight each other – King of the North and King of the South…
  • The King of the North gets the upper hand and subdues Jerusalem through treachery…
  • The King of The North was headquartered in Syria but controlled present day Iraq – Babylon…
  • It was the King of the North (Seleucus took over Babylon, including Judea) who produced the Antichrist type – Antiochus Epiphanes…
  • It was Antiochus Epiphanes who desecrated the Temple, offered a pig in the Temple, and setup the image of his god in the Temple…
  • The Temple became desolate for three years and was cleansed during the Maccabaen revolts…
  • It is important to note that four generals came from West - Greece with Alexander the Great…
 
With this historical perspective, we now get a picture of what is to transpire in the Last Days or Time of the End which happens to be the very time in which we live…

We must keep in mind that Daniel was given the specific time in which this vision would occur. We must remember that all the visions that Daniel saw pointed to the coming of the Messiah and it was The Messiah who would deliver the saints out of the hand of the Antichrist spoken about in Daniel 8 and 11…
 
Antiochus Epiphanes was just a type and a shadow of things that would come in the future…in the Time of the End…in the very time in which we live… Antiochus Epiphanes was a type of an Antichrist to come… When we read what happened in this historical setting, it shows us what is to transpire in the future…
 
Scenario 1 – What does all this show us?
  • There is going to be a confrontation between the West – Greece and the East - Persia…
  • There is going to raise an Eastern Power - Persia that will push towards the West – Greece (Europe) …
  • It is important to note that this includes territories currently occupied by Western Forces like Iraq and Afghanistan… Iran is secretly pushing ‘or influencing those territories with her Anti West Anti Israel Islamic Ideologies…
  • It is also important to note that Iran is influencing or ‘pushing west’ by financing Islamic groups allover Europe… Note that the European publication of cartoons that ‘blasphemed’ Prophet Mohammed are just beginning signs of the West – Europe pushing Eastward ideologically…
  • Keep in mind that the Ram – Persia was PUSHING west…or trying to advance westward…
  • The Western Powers will arise and Advance to stop the Persians who will be pushing west…
  • As a matter of fact Western Powers have already begun pushing Eastward in the Middle East by occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq…
 
  • The Western Powers will advance with such swiftness that their feet won’t touch the ground and attack the Persians for destruction… The West will have air superiority over Iran…
 
  • The Western Powers will have a strong Leader who will lead them in this expedition against Persia…
 
  • This Strong Leader will set up his headquarters and capital in the Middle East…The US has already setup gigantic military bases in Iraq including the largest US embassy in the world…
 
  • This strong leader of the West will become powerful but will be cut off shortly after his conquering of or attacking of Persia…
 
  • Western Powers are currently being led by The USA and it is with great swiftness that the USA conquered the territories of Afghanistan and Iraq, including Kuwait and largely influencing Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, not mentioning the small Sheikh Kingdoms…
 
  • The USA currently is holding the position of the ‘Great Horn between His Eyes’ as described in Daniel 8:21… The USA is the current leader of the West, the youngest nation among Western Powers and advances in Battle with such great swiftness just like Alexander the Great did…
 
  • It is important to note that the ‘Great Horn’ between the goat’s eyes suddenly gets broken as he advances eastwards… This is important to note as the major global players suddenly change and the ‘Great Horn’ between the goat’s eyes suddenly does not lead the Western Powers anymore!
 
  • The USA will certainly attack Iran but this will lead to the down fall of the USA… The USA – the Great Horn between the Goat’s eyes will suddenly be broken as she advances eastward to conquer Iran… This will be when they attack Iran…
 
  • However, the Persians will be conquered by the Advancing Western Powers…even while at the same time probably during the same battle, the Great Horn between the Goat’s eyes will be broken off…
 
  • The USA attacking Iran will spell doom and an end of the American conquering spree in the Middle East…
 
  • From this prophecy, it seems likely that American forces in the Middle East will be destroyed or overrun suddenly but in a Battle that Iran will certainly not win. However, when one connects the dots to the Ezekiel 38, 39 prophecies, we see that Russia is involved in this battle and the American home land is not spared but attacked with nukes… Babylon falls and is destroyed by the Medes (Persians – Iran) just as The Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah – Jeremiah 50 and 51… Even yet Iran itself will be judged by The Lord and will loose to the Western Powers minus the USA…
 
  • With the USA gone, the new conquered kingdom will then be divided between his four generals…showing us that the advancing Western Powers will end up divided and not as strong as once  believed… Western Powers minus the USA are fragmented yet have an image of a strong union… With the fall of the USA, other Western powers will divide America’s territories in the Middle East among themselves… Have you not heard about the ‘Balkanization’ of Iraq?
 
  • It is interesting to note that in Revelations 17 speaks about the Beast with Ten Horns that burn and destroy Mystery Babylon… At the same time Daniel 7:20 gives us the condition of these Ten Horned Kings…three of them fall at the rise of the ‘Little Horn - Antichrist’ and this shows us fragmentation in between the Ten Horn Kings…
 
  • Back to Daniel 8, The Four Generals will have military squabbles between them but with the strongest enmity being between the King of the North and the King of the South… There will be enmity between the Northern General and Southern General…
 
  • It is my view and opinion at this point that the four Generals are of European – Western Origin even though they employ the locals to join their ranks…they will use locals such as Syrians and Arabs to join their forces. Historically this has already happened and is a known pattern of conquering empires. Antiochus Epiphanes did the same when he used local Syrians to fight his battles. So did Titus the Roman General do the same, he hired Syrian locals to join his ranks. The “British empire” did the same when they hired Arabs to conquer fellow Arabs in their expansion of the “British empire”…
 
  • Some have argued that the Antichrist will be of Arab or Syrian Origin. However, in my humble opinion the Antichrist will be of European origin but settled in the Middle East just like Alexander the Great came with generals from the West who occupied Syrian and Iraq territories and later Antiochus Epiphanies arose…
 
  • However, it is among the leaders from the Western Powers, through whom the King of The North emerges; the King of the North will become strong and conqueror Jerusalem through Treachery and Intrigue…
 
  • The King of the North will control Present day Iraq – Ancient Babylon and also control Syria…The King of the North will move to take Jerusalem by treachery and intrigue from his Assyrian Base…Assyrians were located in present day Iraq (Ancient Babylon) and Syria…
 
  • At some point during this Battle between the West and Islam, Syria will be dominated once again and I am of opinion that Isaiah’s prophecy concerning the destruction of Damascus will ensue during this physical confrontation between the West and Islam…
 
  • It is this King of the North that is referred to as the Assyrian by the Prophets Isaiah, Ezekiel, Hosea, and Micah…It is this Assyrian who happens to be spoken of as falling not with any human hand… The Lord Jesus Christ shall destroy him at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ…
 
  • This Antichrist will destroy the mighty and powerful in their prosperity even as we read more about him in Daniel chapter 11… This includes the powerful and mighty nations today who would include superpowers if not destroyed then before…
 
  • The King of the North will eventually make false peace treaties with Israel for One Week and break his treaty with the nation of Israel…
 
  • The King of the North – The Antichrist will allow the Jews to rebuild their Temple but will break his agreement with the Jews and set up an abomination that causes desolation just like Jesus Christ mentioned in Matthew 24…
 
  • The King of The North – The Assyrian – The Antichrist will heavily persecute the saints and Jews during the Great Tribulation… However, he will do this for only 3.5 years and then Christ Jesus will return and fight against the Antichrist with the Sword that proceeds from His Mouth...

Scenario 2 - How this translates in relation to the Ezekiel 38 Gog Magog war…
I reiterate once again that the Vision given to Daniel was to transpire in the Time of the End or the Last Days…which happens to be the very days in which we live…
 
In my humble opinion and view, I see that the Daniel 8 war between The Goat and the Ram is another same portrayal of the Gog Magog war in Ezekiel 38, 39, only that each portrayal gives us detailed information as to what happens during this entire global conflict centered in the Middle East…
 
So, let’s take a look at the players and see if we can some how decipher what will transpire in our times insofar as Daniel 8 and Ezekiel 38, 39 is concerned…
 
  • We know that The Goat – Greece Attacks the Ram – Persia…
 
  • We also know that the Ram – Persia makes advances Westward by Pushing West…
 
  • Present day Persia is Iran… Iran only recently changed its name from Persia to Iran…
 
  • We know that Persia – Iran is a very strong Islamic Republic and supporter of all radical Moslems like the Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza…
 
  • We also know that that Persia – Iran is trying to Push West and has hinted of taking over Iraq (Ancient Babylon) if the USA and Coalition Forces Fail to control the current violence in Iraq according to media reports…
 
  • We know that the Iranians are at odds with the Saudi Arabian Islamic Dynasty and actually would love to see what they see as ‘secular’ Islam ousted from Saudi Arabia…
 
  • In Pushing East, Babylon – USA which interestingly controls Iraq will attack Iran but in the same battle is destroyed by the Persians – Iranians with support from Russia during the Gog Magog war…
 
  • During the Gog Magog war of which this war will be a part of, Persia – Iran in coalition with Russia attack and destroy Babylon USA…
 
  • Israel is not to be spared, as a matter of fact Russia heading the Gog Magog hordes will set Israel as the prize since they will be in coalition with the Islamic Nations to ‘liberate’ Palestine from the ‘infidels’… It is at this point that Iranians and other Islamic Nations welcome Russia’s support to ‘push west’…
 
  • It looks like when Persia - Iran will push west after the US attacks, it will destroy Babylon – USA forces stationed in Iraq – Ancient Babylon…
 
  • It is at this point also that for Gog and her Islamic forces to overrun Israel have to deal with Babylon – USA… AS described in Ezekiel 38:10-12, Gog – Russia gets another evil thought in him to attack that land with unwalled villages – USA (read my article on Gog Magog War )…
 
  • I believe it is at this point that Babylon – USA the current leader of the Western world – the Great Horn between the Goat’s eyes is suddenly broken and destroyed…leaving her conquered territory and spoil to be divided between her Generals – Europe…
 
  • However, Russia the helper of Persia – Iran has Two Thirds of their forces destroyed by Natural disasters and catastrophes including a nuclear exchange that ensues in this battle…
 
  • With the Babylon - USA gone, Greece – Goat – Europe which is considered weak by some End Time Bible Prophesy Analysts arises and America’s Empire is divided possibly among the ‘NATO’ forces…
 
  • Remember that Iran will be neutralized by having their forces destroyed during the Gog Magog war as they try to eradicate and ‘wipe off the map’ the ‘Zionist regime’ in Israel… Ezekiel 38, 39 speaks of the convulsions of Nature and natural calamities involved in the destruction of Gog Magog forces which include Iran…
 
  • At this point Islamic Militarism will be history and Islamic Ideologies gone. There will be a future Islamic Global empire as some Bible Prophecy Analysts predict. What I see happening is the Goat – West totally crushing the Ram – Islam with no one to save the Ram out of the Goat’s Hands…
 
  • It is at this point that I believe the Antichrist is of European Origin, though I am not dogmatic about this. The Antichrist is called the son of perdition (2 Thessalonians 2:3)…showing us that he will be well versed with Christianity, just like Judas was well versed with Jesus Christ and His Disciples and later betrayed The Lord earning himself the title, Son of Perdition…
 
  • History shows us how Europe has produced world conquerors before… Alexander the Great, Many Roman Generals and Emperors, Napoleon, not mentioning Hitler who is said to have butchered six million Jews…all these where from Europe…and strange as it may sound, all of them had some inclination to conquer Jerusalem and have it under their control…
 
  • Brethren, study Daniel 8, 10, and 11, you will see that the next great world emperor will come from Europe or will have a European origin (this is my opinion) but settle in the Middle East and it is from the Middle East that he arises to conqueror Jerusalem and the world through treachery and intrigue…
 
  • America is no where to be seen beyond this point… Bible Prophets have clearly described the destruction of Babylon – USA at the hands of Mede Persians – Jeremiah 50, 51, Isaiah 13, 47…
 
  • Historically it was Mede Persia that conquered Babylon, not vice versa…hey, why can’t folks who call themselves End Time Bible Prophesy Analysts see this and connect the dots?  It is because a large number of them love the life, wines, and luxuries that Babylon – USA offers that they are willing to twist scriptures in order to support such premises that the Babylon – USA Conquerors Persia – Iran…
 
  • It is with swiftness and ‘not touching the ground’ speed that alludes to air superiority and very light and lethal forces from Goat – Greece – West  that stop the advancement of Islamic Forces from Persia – Iran from advancing westward…
 
  • Remember that when we bring in the Ezekiel 38, 39 battles in context, we also see natural disasters, convolutions of nature and calamities strike Russian Gog Magog forces and brings then to a halt. Islam is finally subdued by the Europeans from advancing westwards but not without a price, being the USA suddenly being broken off…
 
  • It is here that Radical Islam from Persia – Iran is halted and stopped and conquered once and for all…Militant Islam as we know it is conquered here by the Goat – Greece – Europe forces that trample Ram – Persia - Iran with no one to deliver from the hands of the Goat – Greece – Europe forces…
 
  • Once again there are some who say that radical Islam will arise to become a superpower; I don’t see it that way… I see Radical Islam arising in war and pushing westward to cause fatalistic blows on the USA and as such destroying the USA as we know it…then the Europeans arising to once and for all conquer the radical Islamic militants headed by Persia – Iran…
 
  • The Europeans will do this for a number of reasons but mainly their survival…this is what Alexander the Great did as he conquered the Persians who were advancing westward and attacking Macedonia…
 
  • History also proves this point by showing us the confrontations between Islam and the Europe… We read in history how Islamic forces moved westward conquering huge territories all the way to Spain and almost took over Europe…
 
  • We then read in history how the Catholic Church Pope organized the Crusaders and went on an expedition to recover territory that the Moslem forces had conquered and made Moslem… The Crusaders pushed eastwards and drove the Moslems all the way to Jerusalem, causing chaos and mayhem as they advanced to Jerusalem…
 
  • So, there is nothing new about Europe going at war with the East Muslims…we are going to see a repeat of this scenario that will culminate with the destruction of Islamic radical militant forces headed always supported by Persia – Iran…
 
  • It will be the end of Islamic Militant Radicalism as we know it…
 
  • However, this victory will not come at the hands of the Babylon – USA but at the hands of the Goat – Greece – fragmented European forces (four generals)…
 
  • The European Force divisions and fragmentations i.e. four generals after the collapse of the USA – Great Horn, will see the coming forth of a Powerful World Leader who will be headquartered in Ancient Babylon – Iraq which is currently controlled by the USA and Syria…
 
  • This powerful leader will rise to power with a New Peace Plan and with Treachery and Betrayal, he will sign a 7 year peace agreement with Israel and in the middle of that 7 year agreement, he will break loyalty with Israel, take over the temple in Jerusalem and declare himself to be God and set up the abomination of desolation…
 
  • This powerful leader or Antichrist will conqueror and destroy many powerful and mighty nations in their prosperity that will not have been destroyed during the Gog Magog war and fall of Persia – Iran… In my humble opinion, I think that these nations could include Japan, Australia, Great Britain, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates, and all nations that traded and partnered with the USA…
 
  • This powerful leader will be the Antichrist and will greatly persecute both Jews and Christians alike. He will speak out blasphemies against The Lord and will call himself God. He will force all tribes and nations to take on the number of the beast 666 and no one will be able to buy or sell during his reign.
 
  • The saints, however, will not give in into his deception and many will fall by the sword and be beheaded because they refused to worship the Antichrist or receive the 666 mark of the Beast…

In summary this is what will happen in the future according to Daniel 8…
 
  • There is going to be a militaristic confrontation between the West – Goat and the East – Ram. It is going to be a war between USA/Europe and Islam headed by Iran being backed by Russia…
 
  • The Ram will not win this war. Islam – Persia will not win as opposed to many who claim that Islam will rise to global dominance. The Goat – West will trample Islam and there will be no one to save Islam out of their hand…
 
  • This confrontation has already begun and we see that through militaristic confrontations of the West by conquering Kuwait, Afghanistan, Iraq, and now pursuing Iran…
 
  • We also see Islamic fundamentalists being armed and financed by Iran and with aim of expelling ‘Zionists’ and ‘infidels’ from Palestine…
 
  • We also see a rise of anti Islam in Europe and the west… There is an increase in ‘Islam-phobia’…
 
  • We see Iran pursuing nuclear weapons and calling for the extinction of the ‘Zionist Regime’…
 
  • America is the current most powerful and lethal leader of the West….she is the Great Horn…
 
  • She – America will attack Iran in order to push back any Persian Iranian Islamic advances to the West…
 
  • However, the Great Horn on the Goat will be suddenly broken…and America will fall…
 
  • However, Europe will still be a force to reckon with and will certainly stop any advancement of Islamic Forces West ward.
