Response To Dr. Aaron Mutebi of Entebbe Miracle Center

E-mail Print PDF

Kato Mivule | May 7, 2009

Greetings Dr. Aaron Mutebi,
Thanks very much for the email and your ‘reaction’ to the article I sent. I agree that I will remove you off my email list but before I do, I would like to ‘respond’ by shedding some light on some of the matters you raised...Updated May 10, 2009...No Longer Dr. But Pastor Aaron Mutebi...

I am sad that you are “sick” because of my “critical” article but with all due respect I thought I was communicating to some one with a Doctorate in Theology and therefore you could sustain my critique at least to disagree out of reason and sense of agency that there is an apostasy going on in the Global Church that Pastors and Christians need to address…

“…Pastor Aaron Mutebi, is a senior Pastor of Entebbe Miracle Centre. He is a role model to many people in Entebbe and the Christian fraternity in Uganda. He was recently awarded a doctorate in theology. Pastor Mutebi constructed schools to aid the disadvantaged and a church that houses the youth in Entebbe…”
Sunday Monitor: Rainbow, March 8, 2009; He is Generous

I will answer the questions that you raised in your email and hopefully that will us get to understand our view and stand on the issues you raised…

“Your message is not a message of building the church but for criticism.
Please stop sending me those messages.
Iam tired of them now.
It will better for you to come back to Uganda if you are not looking for money in the USA yourself.
You are born here so come back and be poor so as to become an example to the rest.
Please stop abusing and blackmailing servants of God. Its too much now. You are not Jesus. If they are doing mistakes so are you. Are you 100% perfect yourself?
Please put me off your mailing list from today for am sick of your messages.
Aaron Mutebi.” – Dr. Aaron Mutebi

“Your message is not a message of building the church but for criticism…”
If I hear you correctly, you mean to say that any message that is critical is not building to the Church. However, I beg to differ and suggest that you might actually be building but on a wrong foundation of sinking sand rather than building on The Solid Rock and it will take a “critical” look at such ‘building” to help the saints build on The Solid Rock; otherwise it will be too late when the storm comes and the House on Sand collapses.

But “building” is such a broad term that one has to wonder if building does not involve demolishing structures that are not supposed to be.

Recently in Entebbe at ‘your church’ – the Entebbe Miracle Center Cathedral, you were involved in demolishing part of the church wall so as to expand your church building. Could we say you were simply ‘demolishing’? Yet to the contrary, you were busy building but the process involved tearing down a ‘useless wall that you did not need.

In God’s discourse with Jeremiah the prophet, it seems that this broad definition was alluded to and also Paul the apostle must have alluded to the same when he spoke about spiritual warfare and pulling down of strongholds which are thoughts that are built up in people’s minds but totally contradicting the Word of God…

Jeremiah 1:8-10
(8)  Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
(9)  Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
(10)  See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6
(3)  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(4)  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;)
(5)  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
(6)  And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

It is in that sense of building that Jude writes to the saints that they should contend earnestly for the faith that was handed to them by the apostles as some false teachers had crept into the church by stealth and planted strongholds – false teachings into the minds of Christians…

Jude 1:3-4
(3)  Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
(4)  For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I was therefore writing to you concerning our common salvation and that there is an imperative need for Pastors and Church Leaders today to earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints because false teachers and preachers are inside the church.

It is from this point of view that I might sound like “critical” to you and not “building” yet for some proper construction to go on a deconstruction has to take place. I believe that the Church in Uganda has so much fed on the strongholds of false teachings that need to be ‘pulled down’, ‘overthrown’, ‘cast down’ and The Whole Counsel of God’s Word implanted.

Yet even more sad and disturbing to me was that this is no point of consideration for you. The false teachers, wolves, and false prophets in the Church are not a concern to you. How then in the world will you protect your sheep from the wolves if you cannot consider the words of Jesus Christ to watch out for the false teachers?

2 Peter 2:1-3
(1)  But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
(2)  And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
(3)  And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Matthew 7:15-23
(15)  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
(16)  Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
(17)  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
(18)  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
(19)  Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
(20)  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
(21)  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
(22)  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
(23)  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

As a Bible College Instructor who holds a Doctorate in Theology, do you not teach your students any discernment and the need to think critically especially when it comes to matters of the Bible? Do you throw out critical thinking at your Bible College in Entebbe Miracle Center Church? Is there not a single class on Apologetics at least to prepare the students to withstand false teachers and EARNESTLY CONTEND for the Faith?

Your email ‘reaction’ is so much revealing as I had special respect of you among the Miracle Center Churches as a Man of Reason and one who does not throw out his God given intellect especially in these evil days in which deception has become the order of the day from the Politician to the Pastor…

I thought I was communicating to a Doctor of Theology given to reason, intellect, rationale, Bible Study, research, discernment, and prayer, well versed in these matters of great critical spiritual importance as helping the saints discern between good and evil, false and right…however, I am flabbergasted…

1 Timothy 4:1
(1)  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2 Timothy 4:1-4
(1)  I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
(2)  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
(3)  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
(4)  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

1 John 4:1
(1)  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Is it that Jesus Christ, Paul the apostle, Peter the apostle, John the apostle, and Jude are calling us to exercise some critical thinking in context of the Bible so as to weed out false teachings and false doctrines that totally contradict the teachings of Jesus Christ?

Aren’t you as a Teacher of the Bible, Pastor, Bible College Instructor, Doctor of Theology supposed to teach these things to the saints so that they can stand firm on Truth based in God’s Word in these last days? Is discernment not supposed to be a part of your ministry or is it bypassed out of simplicity as “criticism”?

“Please stop sending me those messages…Iam tired of them now.”

Certainly I will stop sending ‘those messages’ to you and will have you removed from the email list. Like I said I thought I was therefore writing to you concerning our common salvation and that there is an imperative need for Pastors and Church Leaders today to earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints because of false teachers and preachers inside the church…

 Jude 1:3
(3)  Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Hopefully you will not grow tired in contending earnestly for the faith…and that your earnest desire to continue working as a Teacher of God’s word not grow cold in earnestness when it comes to contending earnestly for the faith…

If you are tired in beating off a man of “criticism” like me, then how will you beat off wolves that will come into ‘your church’ by stealth to teach doctrines of devils on your very pulpit? What would you say of a Shepherd who grew tired of protecting his sheep from wolves? Would you consider him for pay?

“It will better for you to come back to Uganda if you are not looking for money in the USA yourself. You are born here so come back and be poor so as to become an example to the rest…”
First and foremost your statement is an insult to the millions of poor Americans in the United States who struggle to keep their lights on and pay their bills. They are the very people who when you visit the USA give donations to you, not because they are wealthy and rich but because they sacrifice the little they have to help kids in your orphanage go to school. This is an offense and insinuation against them. This shows that you simply look at American Christians as your repository for wealth, money, and riches, being inconsiderate to the sacrifices that many hardworking American Christians make to give to other poorer Christians in Uganda.

I do not need to prove that American Christians have US Dollar bills growing on trees in their yards. This is one misconception that many African preachers have; they think that to live in America is to be wealthy and rich people have money growing on trees.

This brings the question of work, yes, I work in America, I have studied in America and so I know American Christian at least to appreciate the hard work they do that African preachers would do well to borrow a leaf from them and learn to work.

It is one thing to use the Gospel to gain wealth, materialism, and profits and it is another thing to work with your own hands and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ Free of Charge. Without blowing trumpets for myself, I would rather work with my own hands and use my proceeds to preach the Gospel free of charge than charge money to preach the Gospel in order to sustain oneself in ministry. I think Paul the apostle laid a better example to follow and in his ‘Tent Making’ ministry.

1 Thessalonians 4:10-12
(10)  And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more;
(11)  And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
(12)  That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

2 Thessalonians 3:7-12
(7)  For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
(8)  Neither did we eat any man's bread for naught; but wrought with labor and travail night and day, that we might not be chargable to any of you:
(9)  Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an example unto you to follow us.
(10)  For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
(11)  For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
(12)  Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

1 Corinthians 9:14-18
(14)  Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
(15)  But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.
(16)  For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
(17)  For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
(18)  What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

Acts 18:1-3
(1)  After these things Paul departed from Athens and came to Corinth;
(2)  And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; because that (Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.
(3)  And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.

Yet even the motivation for work is not to gain riches, wealth, and materialism in order to brag, boast, swank, swagger, and parade ourselves in arrogance before men showing how wealthy and materialistic we are. Rather, we work to meet our basic needs and if there is any surplus in our incomes, we humbly use that to minister to the needs of other saints in all humility.

It seems your philosophy of work is totally different from what the New Testament teaches. Paul the apostle for one coveted no one’s gold but worked with his hands and supported the weak and those who were with him in ministry, making sure he preached the gospel free of charge.

This is one reason why I am involved in the ‘Tent Making’ ministry; that I may preach the gospel free of charge and not be a burden to anyone yet at the same time support my family, the weak, and those in need in all humility as God gives the grace.

1 Timothy 5:8
(8)  But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Acts 20:33-35
(33)  I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.
(34)  Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.
(35)  I have showed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Lastly the Bible warns that those in leadership should not be lovers of money…they should not be greedy for filthy lucre…they should not be covetous.  Yet it is without doubt that the Prosperity Gospel has produced leaders and Pastors preoccupied with materialism and greed for more money…

1 Timothy 3:1-3
(1)  This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
(2)  A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
(3)  Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

1 Timothy 3:8-9
(8)  Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;
(9)  Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

“Please stop abusing and blackmailing servants of God. Its too much now…”
It is interesting that you level this accusation that I have “Abused and Blackmailed” Servants of God and this begs a number of questions. Is Discernment a form of Abuse? Is thinking critically with an open mind an Abuse? Is the calling of Pastors and Teachers back to Sound Bible Doctrine an Abuse?

The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines Blackmail as…

“extortion or coercion by threats especially of public exposure or criminal prosecution b: the payment that is extorted…”

Is it a lack of words here or misunderstanding of English words or are you simply translating thoughts directly from the Luganda language into English without processing what you are saying correctly in English?

So, when and where did I Blackmail any Pastor or “Servant of God” by asking them money in order not to expose their misdoings? You claim that “It is too much now…” which means that there must be proof of a continual act of Blackmail in which goods or services are exchanged so as not to expose the “Servant of God”…

If you really understood the term “Blackmail”, are you not then telling lies? If you are not telling lies, then you must have concrete evidence that I engaged in Blackmail since you say “it is too much now” in reference to the too much “Abuse and Blackmail”…

“You are not Jesus…”
In this conversation and discourse with you, I agree that I am not Jesus nor are you Jesus. I have never stated anywhere in my communications nor claimed that I am Jesus. Yet interestingly enough it is the Prosperity Gospel preachers who claim to be “Anointed Servants of God”… They claim to be the “Anointed ones”, yet the term “Anointed one” is only used in the New Testament to refer to Jesus Christ – Jesus The Anointed One – Jesus The Messiah – The Christ – The anointed One… So, when you stand on your pulpit in ‘your church’ and claim you are the “anointed one” are you not claiming a title and office never even used by the Apostles but only to refer to Jesus Christ? Are you not then claiming to be a “Christ – the Anointed one”?

Acts 10:38
(38)  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

Acts 4:27-28
(27)  For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
(28)  For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

Hebrews 1:8-9
(8)  But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom.
(9)  Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

So, we see that the term “Anointed one” is only used to refer to Jesus Christ…So when you claim that you are a “Man of God”, “The Anointed Servant of God”…”The Anointed One”, are you not in effect claiming to be a ‘Christ’?

When you use terms like Pastor Robert Kayanja is the “Anointed One”, Pastor Benny Hinn is the “Anointed One”, Pastor Creflo Dollar is the “Anointed Man of God”, are you not claiming that such men are the ‘Christ – The Anointed One’, since the term ‘Anointed One’ was only used in the New Testament to refer to Jesus Christ?

Who then is claiming to be a Jesus, is it not the leaders of the Prosperity Word Faith Movement? Did Jesus Christ not warn us that in the last days there would come false Christs – false anointed ones?

Matthew 24:5
(5)  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Matthew 24:24
(24)  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

For many will come in The Lord’s Name saying “I am Christ – I am the Anointed One” and shall deceive many… Today’s Churches are flooding with many preachers claiming to be the “Anointed Ones”…

“If they are doing mistakes so are you. Are you 100% perfect yourself?...”
I have never claimed to be perfect and nor are you perfect Dr. Aaron Mutebi and this is reason why you and I need a critical look at our lives and teachings to see if they line up with the Teachings and Doctrine of Jesus Christ.

We cannot use the excuse of ‘other people making mistakes’ so as to continue to make mistakes… This is a very lame excuse and one not supported anywhere in scripture.  You cannot say that you will break the Law because someone else broke the Law and besides you have other weaknesses too. Such ideology is what we refer to as ‘Lawlessness’.

Most importantly, we do not obey the teachings of Jesus Christ and keep to Sound Doctrine because we are perfect, rather we hold to the teachings of Jesus Christ and keep to Sound Doctrine so that we may be perfected.

Philippians 3:12-15
(12)  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
(13)  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
(14)  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
(15)  Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

Therefore when you become dismissive of Biblical Sound Doctrine because you are not perfect, you resort to working out your salvation in your own terms, a form of legalism and man made religion.

Therefore it is God’s Word that perfects us and we do not come to Jesus Christ because we are perfect but in imperfection we come to Him that we may be perfected by His Teachings and Sayings.

2 Corinthians 13:5
(5)  Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

The Trouble is that many in the Prosperity Gospel Movement are totally dismissive of the Teachings of Jesus Christ and Sound Doctrine because of Greed and Money, so then how can they be perfected? It is reason that I was writing to you that we might encourage the Church back to Sound Doctrine and Teachings of Jesus Christ so that we may be perfected.

1 Timothy 4:16
(16)  Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

However, since you are dismissive of God’s Word of Correction and dismissive of the need to examine our faith in light of God’s Holy Word, and are dismissive of Sound Biblical Doctrine, it them seems that you have created your own system of spiritual perfection.

“Please put me off your mailing list from today for am sick of your messages.
Aaron Mutebi.”…”

Thanks for your time in this discourse, I did not mean to ‘educate’ you on these matters but I thought that you being a Bible Teacher with a Doctorate in Theology are very well familiar with these things.

John 3:9-10
(9)  Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
(10)  Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

Please do not hesitate to correspond to me by email me if you need be, my email is open to you.
Thanks.

God Bless You
Kato Mivule

Dr. Aaron Mutebi's Response May 7, 2009
==========================================

Mr.Kato,
I have received enough of your messages. You have been a friend of mine for many years. But something wrong on the way must have happened to you. I have read many of your messages. I have visited your website but MOST of your messages are not building.
Why should you call me Dr. Mutebi with a doctorate of theology? Have I ever told you that am a doctor of theology?
My main problem with you in all this is that you publish your information,you criticise  servants of God, you talk your nosense,basing your information on Newspapers.
Who told you that Iam Doctor of theology? Was it me, my wife, my associate pastors or MONITOR NEWSPAPER?
Does monitor newspaper speak for me? How many schools have I built that you quoted? Your problem is you  don't know the truth but you quote newspapers. Why don't you check with me first to prove who Iam. That's your main problem.
You accuse people depending on newspapers. The newspapers are deceiving you. Iam not a Doctor of theology. I have not built schools. You have beenin Uganda,can you tell me where i built those schools?  Its you and the monitor who knows it.
I have carefully read your articles about Pastor Kiweewesi, kyazze,Male, Kayiira, Kitaka and Pastor Kayanjas, accusation of homosexuality. You have no substance at all. All you do is you quote newspapers.That's very sad.Please stop it.
Iam on the ground here in Uganda. I know whats going on better than you do.Why dont you contact me or contact the person concerned to know what is right instead of quoting wrong sources?
As amatter of fact we are right now in court about those issues agaist the people you metioned and the media where it was published b,se unlike in the USA,  here in Uganda homosexuality is a seriuos crime.
You have sent me many articles in the past but all you quote is MEDIA.Monitor, New vision, ETC..... Here in Africa most media houses don't tell the truth.I think you know.  In that sense you are also becoming a LIAR.
Lastly, but even if it was right about Pastor Kayanja or anybody else, is that the rightful, ordained biblical way how such an issue has to be addressed? Through critical emails? I dont think so.
Iam sorry, but you have gone too far to the extent of calling me a doctor of theology some thing Am not.
Stop mixing the media with the Bible to blame those who have no blame.
You dont know why Pastor Kayanja was attacked. Why dont you ask before you accuse people? That is what makes me sick of your emails. Please be truthful to yourself and publish your articles after cross cheking with the people concerned.
Aaron Mutebi.

My Response May 7, 2009
==========================================

Greetings Dr. Aaron Mutebi,
There is no need to be sentimental... Like I said, I thought you still have your intellect, reason, critical thought and have not cast them aside... I will not judge your ministry but I will I will certainly discern what you teach.

If you continue to teach the Prosperity Gospel then that proves that your teachings are destructive to the spiritual health of the Body of Christ. I quoted scriptures to you, actually 3/4 of my quotes were scriptures but you failed to quote any single verse in your 'reaction' to me...

The Daily Monitor carried out an Interview with you and quoted you as Dr. Aaron Mutebi... Secondly, you have never denied that article in Daily Monitor or published an article on your website that you you are not a Doctor of Theology...

Thirdly, your own website refers to you as Dr. Aaron Mutebi... Fourth you deny that you have never built any school, well, your own website states that you have a school that you are building...Rainbow Miracle Christian Academy...

Fifth, you traveled to Kansas USA and in a Cornerstone Church Service you declared that you have a school that you are building...

Pastor Aaron Returns
We are finally getting the opportunity to have Pastor Aaron Mutebi from Uganda, Africa in both our Sunday services June 24.  Pastor Aaron comes to us with an incredible message of God's power and love.  (Read about our trip to his church in "Africa" in the news section.)  Since he has last visited with us over two years ago Pastor Aaron has planted 77 new churches and has built a school for 280 children, (Of which we were the first to give to sow into that ministry!).  Please be ready to receive his impartation of ministry.

So, Dr. Aaron Mutebi, who is telling the truth or who is concealing the Truth?

About Robert Kayanja and the Homosexual Pastors in Kampala, I would have had much respect for you if you stood for the Victims of Sexual Abuse inside the Church...if you helped the sodomized victims and sought justice for them then I would hold you in much more greater esteem.

However, you seem bent of supporting and protecting Robert Kayanja, Kiwewesi, Kitaka and other pastors at the expense of the Church of Christ and the Saints...

You can have your own 'opinion' as to if my ministry is building or not... I do also have an 'opinion' about your teachings and preaching...they contradict the New Testament.

Below are the Pictures from Pastor Aaron Mutebi's Website referring to him as Dr.Aaron Mutebi and also without doubt mentioning that Pastor Aaron Mutebi has built a school in Entebbe called Rainbow Miracle Christian Academy...the very thing that he denies in his email reply to me... Website accessed as of May 7, 2009...

The website shows that the school is in the construction phase... On my last visit to Uganda, the school was still in Construction phase... So, why is Pastor Mutebi denying that he owns no school?

RESPONSE MAY 8 2009

================================================================================

Thanks for your remarks Pastor Mutebi,
First and foremost thank you that at least you have not thrown out your God given intellect, Critical Thinking, Reason, and Objectivity... I always thought of you as a man of reason and one who employs his God given intellect...

My prayer is that you would employ the same God given intellect to help and equip the saints discern false teachings and false teachers in the Church and equip the saints to keep to Sound Doctrine as based in the New Testament.

In that sense, yes, you make a very good point and argument that people can call you what you are not by attributing titles to you and yes, the School building is not in your name and therefore it can be argued that you did not build it...

However, the question of  leadership and responsibility comes into play... You are the overseer and head of the Miracle Center Church - Entebbe and therefore all top responsibility falls on your shoulders...

We know that President Obama is not working on Wall Street in New York Financial District but the policies he sets make him own the economy, when it does well, we say Obama's "built" a good economy and President Bush "destroyed" it... It does not mean Obama is running the Banks, no...but he is leader...and in that sense, yes, you did "build" Rainbow Miracle Christian Academy... You did "Build the Entebbe Miracle Center Cathedral"... This is not a matter of semantics and usage of words but the responsibility associated with the word...

I do not mean to argue with you as I have no interest in that... I simply quoted your interview with Sunday Monitor and you were quoted as Dr. Aaron, secondly your own Church website quoted you as Dr. Aaron, thirdly Cornerstone Church quoted you as "Building a school"... I find inconsistencies in your argument as you imply that you have no responsibility in the matters raised...even at least to refute any titles like Dr.

Why did you not issue a corrective Press release that you are not Dr. Aaron Mutebi to Sunday Monitor? Why did you not make a correction on your website that you are not Dr.Aaron? Why did you not make a corrective statement to Cornerstone Church that you are NOT building the school?

Anyway, that aside, I have received your remarks and I will quote your email and go on record to state that you have categorically denied any claims that you are Dr. Aaron Mutebi with a Doctorate in Theology and that you have NEVER built any school...

Thanks for the discourse and hopefully the Robert Kayanja issue can be settled amicably...my view and opinion is that a Commission of Truth and Inquiry by you the Pastors be instituted to help the victims of Sexual abuse and Sodomy in the Evangelical Churches...rather than simply defend Robert Kayanja in Court... Besides a Commission of Truth could vindicate Robert Kayanja and exonerate him... Right now it looks like he is obstructing justice...and the world is watching...

Anyway, it has been great discussing with you.

God Bless You

    Mr.Kato,
    Its unfortunate that you have now entered an argument about myself. I know myself more than the media and more than the website.I told you that Iam not a Doctor. Whosoever calls me a doctor whether its a website, a newspaper,etc... does not make me a doctor.
    Iam not a Doctor. Iam a Pastor of a church. Thats all. Just call me that.
    Secondly,I have never built a school. Your artical of monitor newspaper yesterday said I have built SCHOOLS (PLURAL) but today you have said (SCHOOL) Singular. Where are the schools? Even the one in the website Iam not the one who built it. I did not even contribute a single shilling to it. You are just misled.
    Today you said that I OWN a school. Thats also not true. I don't own a school.
    The buildings of that school are not mine. The names of the school is not mine. The land title does on which that is does not read Aaron Mutebi as the owner, I did not buy the property where that school, was built, etc...How then can you genuinely say that I own a school? Can you own a school without documentations? If I own that school,then tell the people also that I own the church.
    The purpose of such statements is to confuse people. Ask me if you want to know about myself.
    Get it from me this one more time. I have never built (SCHOOLS ) nor a SCHOOL and I don't OWN one as you said.
    Always have a difference between a church project and a personal project.The school you have referred to in the website, is not my school and am not the one who built it. It was built by the church and Iam not me. Thats why I told you yesterday that don't quote whatever you read in newspapers. You will be misled.
    The school on the website is very clear. Its a church website. I don't own that website.Your website yesu mulungi is a personal website.So whatever is there is yours.
    Once again, Iam not a Doctor.
    Secondly, I have never built a school.
    Aaron Mutebi.
