Pastor Kayanja’s Strange Gospel of Money

 Posted June 11, 2009

(Commentary) Benny Hinn committed an act of 'spiritual rape' against Uganda's Evangelical Church by charging Ugandans 50 US Dollars for his so-called Holy Spirit Fellowship in Uganda with the help of Uganda's Prosperity Gospel Czar and Kingpin Pastor Robert Kayanja. It is a shame that for Pastor Kayanja who is fighting Sodomy Allegations could engage in such an act of 'Wealth Transfer' by taking money from the poor and placing it in his pockets and Benny Hinn's Bank account.

However, what is more disturbing and dreadful is the fact that Pastor Robert Kayanja has set a precedent and a new way of doing business. It should not surprise us any more to hear of conferences by other Ugandan Prosperity Gospel Moguls charge 100 US Dollars for a 'Prosperity Members Only' and "Partners" Conference in Uganda. This behavior is nothing but theft, graft, corruption and broad-day light robbery and pilfering of Christians by impostors who love to call themselves "Men of God"... Kato Mivule

Pastor Kayanja’s strange gospel of money

Pastor Robert Kayanja has been questioned by the Ugandan media as to why every person is supposed to pay $50 for the Benny Hinn Holy Spirit outpouring. Pastor Robert Kayanja argues that the gospel is not cheap. He says that Ugandans are used to free things yet there are no free things. He does not quote scripture to substantiate his arguments.

The word of God says categorically that freely you have received freely give (Matthew 10:8). It is also written that: “the love of money is the roots of all evil” (I Tim 6:10). The word of God says you will see them by their fruits not by their suits.

Ps. Kayanja is a smart businessman. He knows that if 20,000 people register for the so-called Holy Spirit outpouring, he will make over $2m.
