We all now know that the current economic crisis is not just limited to the USA but is global. There is no “Economic Safe Zone” on the face of this planet called Earth. The only safe place economically is Heaven and as far as I can tell The Lord has not raptured any Christian yet out of this current economic mess.
It seems that He has allowed us to go through this crisis, unless some says that we have all been “left behind”…and perhaps you might need to ask Tim LaHaye and Gordon Lindsay and ask for a refund for all those “end time prophecy” books…because it seems that with every nationwide and global crisis, Christians are still here and not raptured away… From the Tsunami, Katrina, Hurricanes, Tornados and current Global Economic Crisis, it seems to me that the Church is still here… What happened to the ‘Imminence Doctrine’? Maybe the Secret Rapture has already happened and even Tim LaHaye must have been left behind! On a serious note, the current global economic crisis is negatively affecting the already poor especially in developing Nations. There are also countless poor in America who live from pay check to paycheck if lucky and many have lost their jobs. Others simply work part time with no benefits and cannot afford to make ends meet. Most of these folks am talking about are Christians who truly love The Lord and serve him faithfully. However, there are those of you among The Lord’s people that The Lord has blessed considerably well even in this time of Economic Crisis. The Lord in His providence and Sovereignty has allowed that to happen to you so that you could minister to other saints that are going through very tough times. Even with this current economic crisis, the Church in the West is still blessed with numerous resources more than any other Church in any part of the world. However, I believe that this is only for a very short time as we have been warning that this window of opportunity will close and will not stay for ever. This means that there is a call for every believer both poor and rich to minister to those who are less fortunate than them… The window of opportunity to minister in this current global economic crisis is two fold… First and fore most is the call to minister to the saints and then also minister to those who are not yet Christian…not forgetting our family and relatives… It is amazing to see with sadness how the Evangelical Church in America is missing out on this opportunity. Many are still caught up with the political distractions about having a “Christian President” and ‘forcing’ everyone to become a Christian through legislative maneuvers. Of recent I have been receiving emails from folks on a bunny-rabbit trail and wild-goose chasing about if Obama was really born in the USA. As many people know, I am from Uganda, East Africa, just close to Kenya…so emails have been coming in asking if I know any Moslem Imam from Kenya who is said to have Obama’s birth certificate and that this Moslem Imam witnessed the birth of Obama in Kenya… Rumors have it that this particular Moslem Imam with Obama's "real" Birth Certificate" from Kenya has now fled East Africa and is residing in the UK under political asylum (some clever Africans with experience in poverty know how to seize moments and get free Visas to the West). So, folks have been ‘inquiring’ if I have any clue, so that they could help bring Obama down and save America from a Moslem Socialist Communist Marxist Dictator President…and take America Back from the Heathens! One email even compared Obama to Idi Amin! What I have learnt is that the Lawsuits about Obama’s US Citizenship did not materialize and the US Supreme Court will not listen to such drivel… Well, fellow Christians, such actions from some Political Evangelical Christians in the US is not what we are supposed to be doing now… Chasing after Obama’s birth certificate is a waste of time, energy, and resources. It is a distraction from the Devil to divert Christians from what they are called to do in the Bible and also miss this current window of opportunity to minister to millions affected by the current Global Economic Crisis… This current economic crisis should be taken as an opportunity to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, warning every man and woman not to place trust in perishables like silver and gold but place their trust and hope in Jesus Christ who alone is able to save a soul from sin and the wrath of God to come. We should know one thing for sure as Christians living in this time and age…you cannot stop the forces of Globalization and the coming New World/Financial/Economical/Political/Social Order. The Bible has already prophesied that and it will happen! I remember, telling a brother that it was useless to pray against the Antichrist and 666 systems…this brother was praying and “resisting” the forces of the Antichrist on June 6, 2006 (2006, 6, 6), a date that some folks claimed would unveil the Antichrist… It is now two years since that time and Globalization and the New World Order seem to be taking shape and gaining strength… So, what are we to do? It is time to minister to the saints and none Christians. I am not speaking about giving and increasing your tithe to the Pastor of your Church. I am not speaking about taking more money to buy Creflo Dollar and Benny Hinn a new Gulf Stream Jet… I am not talking about you increasing your giving to TBN… No! I am talking about you stopping giving that tithe of yours to that rich Mega Church Pastor and taking it instead to that brother or sister in Christ who you know lost their job and has no money to pay winter heating bills… Rather than give to help out TBN and their fancy studios, go give that money to that senior citizen Christian who has no one to care for them and all their Social Security goes to pay Hospital bills… Reach out to the Christian Man or Woman who lost their job and are facing a foreclosure on their home… Reach out to the Soup Kitchens across America… Many of them are Christian organizations and the call lately from them has been a need for more food to feed the poor and hungry… Get out of your chair and comfort zone and do something! Stop the nonsense, foolishness, stupidity, bunny trails, and wild-goose chasing after Obama’s Birth Certificate and “Christian President” narratives and GO DO SOMETHING TO HELP THE POOR OF THE EARTH!!!!!!… Christians in America, wakeup from your slumber… For how long will The Lord call out to you and you simply refuse to respond? When will you ever learn from all the circumstances The Lord has allowed to come upon you? How long will The Lord bear with you? The last time I checked, Christian Food Pantries are running out of Food across America…GO OUT and minister there… You don’t have to be Rich to help out…if you have an extra loaf of Bread…take one out and donate it to the Food Pantry downtown… Many of these Pantries have Soup days and preach the gospel there too… Reach out and stop the nonsense of ‘crying’ because a “Christian President” did not win the elections… During their Global Economic Crisis, the early Church did not sit around crying and weeping because Nero was Caesar, nor did they seek to overthrow Rome to create a “Christian Empire”…nor did they go on bunny trails and wild-goose chasing to check if Nero or Titus was really a Natural Born Citizen of the Roman Empire…and try to find their “Birth Certificates”….instead they reached out to the poor saints and with their few resources, collected money to help the poor saints in Jerusalem…and that is what we must be doing now… Acts 11:28-30 (28) And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar. (29) Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judea: (30) Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul. Romans 15:25-26 (25) But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints. (26) For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. Galatians 2:9-10 (9) And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision. (10) Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do. 1 Timothy 5:8 (8) But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. 2 Corinthians 9:7-9 (7) Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. (8) And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (9) (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth forever. This is also an opportunity to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to many who are falling through the cracks of the current economic meltdown… It is time to reach out to lost souls in this crisis time and share the gospel, perhaps they will listen without the distractions that perishables like Silver and Gold bring… My challenge to you is that you can begin today and right now…checkout for all those Soup Kitchen and Food Pantries out there and see how you can help… You don’t have to be rich but even with the little that The Lord has blessed you with, you can buy a few cans of beans and rice and take them to the Food shelters… Help out with those who have lost their jobs, help them fill out job applications if they don’t know how to…my point is that DO SOMETHING FOR CHRIST! Take care of your family and relatives and find out how they are doing regardless if they are Christian or not…or democrat or republican… Let your gospel not be in words only but in deeds also… Above all be humble as you minister to the poor of the earth, don’t be elitist and think that they can only survive with you…or try to control and manipulate the poor through your giving… Give freely, with a cheerful heart and not grudgingly or as being forced to. Don’t give because it is a law to do so…give freely…that is why I say, don’t go give to the rich mega church pastors but to the poor Christian and none Christian neighbor of yours… Let The Lord Lead you in this ministry… Don’t give with strings attached… Freely you have received from The Lord, so freely give… In Christ Jesus Kato Mivule
