Matthew 24:9 (9) Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. 1 Peter 4:13-16 (13) But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. (14) If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the Spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. (15) But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. (16) Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. The question is in which category US Evangelicals and their Political Christianity views suffer. Will they suffer honorably because of The Name of The Lord or will they suffer because they will be seen as evil doers engaging as busybodies in ‘other men’s matters’? There is no doubt that Evangelical America has become highly politicized and a bedrock from which so-called Conservative Politicians and all sorts of ‘Conservative’ liars launch political campaigns as long as they can spell the word ‘Anti Abortion’, ‘Anti Gay Marriage’, ‘Focus on The Family’, and ‘Israel’. The Church to such ‘Conservative’ political opportunists is seen as a powerful Political Machine with the latest ‘Product’ of GW Bush running for president twice. It is in such light that the Body of Christ has been divided into parts with those who disagree with the status quo and those who march along. Such an attitude has done great harm in the Church’s ability to freely preach The Good Saving News of our Lord Jesus Christ. The US Evangelical church is seen as one and the same with the US Republican Party. When the Republican Party makes fun of the poor and ridicules those without, none Christians view the Evangelical Church in the US in the same light as Republicans to a large extent. When GW Bush launched his ‘war on terror’ in Iraq and it was latter proved that the war was based on lies, the US Evangelicals were seen as one and the same with political liars in Washington who pushed forward for that senseless war. Worse is the fact that prominent evangelical leaders came out brazenly and gave their support for a war that was purely based on lies to the amusement of none Christians around the world. As if this was not hypocritical enough, the US Evangelical leaders did not come out to protest the graphic torture of victims in Iraq and Cuba Prison cells. When it came to New Orleans and Katrina, very few evangelicals responded, others ridiculed the poor and weak and blanketed them in a ‘God sent Judgment’ because of the Gay Parade prior to the Katrina Hurricane. US Evangelicals continued with their shameless downward spiral by invoking End Time Bible Prophecy into the whole picture and leaders such as John Hagee called for the “Nuking” of Iran otherwise God would punish America for not “protecting” Israel… Interestingly enough the Evangelicals forgot about the poor, the orphans, and those who are weak in society…they never came to their defense. The Evangelical doctrine of Dominionism was then exported to other parts of the world. Now fast forward to the political scenery today… The same Evangelicals have partnered again with the so-called conservatives and support McCain for President while on their pulpits they ridicule and scorn at what they call a Moslem from Kenya, Barrack Obama who is most likely to become the next president of the USA. The campaigns have been so much heated up with both sides trading in negative campaigns and advertisements. The McCain campaign has been besieged with hate and racists groups who have openly called for the death of Barrack Obama and his ‘beheading’…sounds reminiscent of Jihadists… However, to the Political Evangelical Christians’ shame McCain did rebuke some of such talk yet Evangelicals leaders from one pulpit to another have not come out to renounce, dissociate, and rebuke such hate and fear mongering…they have instead encouraged it by preaching on their pulpits and telling their flock not to vote for a Moslem called “Barrack Hussein Obama”. Some invoked curses on believers if they choose to vote for Obama…sounds reminiscent of the ‘Fatwa’ issued by Sheikhs and Mullahs against those who disagree with them… This is not just throwing mad at the US Evangelicals. There are many in the US Evangelical community who are totally dismayed and disgusted with the current Evangelical leaders and their Political Christianity Views… Many evangelicals I know in the US have come out of such Churches and disassociated themselves from such Christian Political Dominionist views… It is likely that Obama might win the election given the economic condition of the US and he will also likely have a majority in both the House and Senate. That will certainly not be good news for all the Political Romance that the US Evangelicals have enjoyed with the Republicans… It will be payback time. The ‘changes’ might not be swift in a sense as overt witch-hunt policies…but make no mistake about it, Democrats with unrestrained power will see to it that “Erratic” Evangelical Leaders are restrained through an implementation of a renewed Anti Hate legislation… If Barrack takes office as President of the USA, then many “changes” will occur and one such a “change” will be to curb down on what the democrats will refer to as “Hate Crime”… Laws prohibiting the use of such language as “kill him” against political opponents will be common. Preaching against Homosexuals from a 501 C 3 churches will be illegal… However, if Barrack Obama wins this election together with a Democratic win in both House and Senate, then all US Evangelicals, the good the bad and the ugly will face the “Liberal” Backlash because of the dumb and silly mistakes of our current evangelical leaders. The question then is, shall this backlash not be justified or not? Shall we be hated by all nations because of our Testimony of Jesus Christ or because as ‘busybodies’, we engaged in evil philosophies and ‘other men’s business’ while forsaking the Preaching of the Gospel? Look at the US Evangelical testimony in the US over the last eight years…it has been marred with arrogance, lies, greed, elitism, evil, and wickedness…workers of iniquity as Jesus Christ called those whom He casts away from His presence. Such testimony might not qualify us as those who suffer with honor for Jesus Christ but as those who suffer because we have engaged in deceit, malice, hate, lies, and all kinds of evil... We have been caught with our hands in the political cookie jar! More Tomorrow…
