Gentile Spiritual Leadership vs. True Church Leadership...

  GENTILE LEADERSHIP /LORDS

TRUE CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP-SERVANTS

1.Selfish—puffed up with knowledge; only the leader knows it all/hides ‘knowledge’ ‘from the flock

Selfless –Love is the basis of knowledge therefore shares with the flock  and edifies the flock; where there is edification there is Love

2. One Man /High Priest—Nicolatitan. He /She has the access to God thus leading people to themselves not Jesus Christ the  Great High PRIEST

Jesus Christ is the great High Priest then everyone else ,including the leaders of the church are priests together as the leaders lead the people to Jesus Christ

3. Jack of all trades; He is the eye, the ear, the mouth.. he is the professional as the others are spectators

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are encouraged among the faithful; church/fellowship is participatory and thus a true sharing

4.Prophecies delivered are always final say no judgment by mature believers allowed

Prophecies and all words are judged by the believers based on the true word of GOD and the Holy Spirit.

5. Destruction of the flock...the Christian becomes stagnant spiritually dead and lukewarm

Edification—The Christian grows as edification is unto one another ;building one another unto the full measure of Christ

6.Fleecing the flock through twisted scriptures, merchandising, money making ministries or churches

Feeding the flock with sound doctrine and the truth for the growth of the church and not self aggrandizement

7.His/Her survival and greed is fed from the pockets of  church members through dubious tactics /twisted scripture; the sheep feed the shepherd

He tries not to be a burden to the flock but is burdened to see the church members conform into the image of Jesus Christ

8.Abuse of titles such as Prophet x, Reverend  y, special garments and celebrity status to validate authority and justify fleecing

Their authority is from God and the Holy Spirit is the seal over them...do not superimpose themselves but lead by example

9.I-AM -SERVING-BECAUSE-I STUDIED THEOLOGY –MENTALITY thus employment is reason for ministry

I am serving because of the grace of God and faith in God This is ministry –the hearing of faith not works is the basis of the ministry

10 .Qualified by degrees, skills and expertise

Qualified by the HOLY SPIRIT, , good conduct and grounded in sound doctrine

In today’s church we have more of Gentile leadership than servant leadership. This is where one or a small group that exercise authority over the people. Jesus called such leaders the princes of Gentiles who lord/exercise authority over the people .It is a system that devours Christians rather than build them. Yet Jesus Christ is concerned about the edification of the church as he based the love of Peter for him on feeding his flock.

The servant leadership which Jesus encouraged was seen in the early church where the leaders gave their all for her growth. In fact most of the apostles and leaders died not because of old age but for suffering that the church may grow and be comforted in Christ. Gentile leadership does nothing to the Christian‘s spiritual growth but is an excuse for stealing from them. Let us follow the example of the church of Acts in the name of Jesus Christ.
