Kato Mivule | July 5, 2009

The subject of False Teachers and Deception was a big issue to the early church that the leadership of the early church clearly addressed this issue with clarity and great concern and passion. At one time Paul the Apostle calls on those who preached ‘another gospel’ to be ‘accursed’. John the Apostle at a certain time called on Christians not to even ‘associate’ or ‘welcome’ those who taught heresies.

Is Jesus Christ Really Concerned About Sound Doctrine?

E-mail Print PDF
Kato Mivule | June 2, 2009

I have had debates with Pastors on the internet and also in Uganda, Africa over the issue of Sound Bible Doctrine. Many Pastors in the debates and discourses I have had with them claim that Sound Bible Doctrine is not important, that what is important is “Unity” among believers and Sound Bible Doctrine only “Divides and does not Unite”.

From Civilizations ancient to our present Westernized Civilization, the Christian Faith has been under constant attack from philosophers of the day ranging from Atheists, Agnostics, to Secular Humanists, many of whom have made inroads into the Churches and Bible Seminaries. The Issue of The God of Heaven who exists while trouble and evil continue to persist on earth has troubled many even those among the Christian Church.

Commentary on Romans 4:6-12
One of the most sought after ‘spiritual commodity’ in the world today is Blessings. From ancient civilizations to the present Westernized Civilization, Blessings is something highly craved for and wished for. All religions have a form of prerequisites for one to attain blessings. Even Business Corporate entities in the world want to sound ‘blessed’. American Presidents always proclaim a “blessing” on the USA and her troops.

Commentary on Romans 4:1-5
Because we live in a business performance driven world, as Christians we tend to get caught up in cycles of performance when it comes to spiritual matters. Yet even more disturbing is that after a while Christians become conditioned to believe that for one to gain approval before The Lord, performance is necessary through the auspices of man.

A careful study of Paul’s epistle to the Romans shows that Paul the Apostle was not ignorant of the sin and evil that was so prevalent in the Roman Empire. There are many lessons that Christians today can learn from the writings of Paul the Apostle in the epistle to the Romans. Kato Mivule | January 26, 2009

We live in a world running at full speed towards complete Globalization with no stopping. World Governments are all integrating economically, socially, technologically, politically and religiously into the so-called Global Village.

However, this move towards globalization is catching many Christians unaware and unprepared. Many Christians simply react by trying to fight against it by becoming political. Such Christians hope that maybe some Christian Politician will help redeem the Church and the “Christian Nation” from the forces of Globalization that are driving towards a One World Governance and Order.

Brother Kato,
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ. As I study the articles being posted on your site basing the book of Acts I have realized the early church response to secular government was truly commendable. They were under dictatorships that were very fierce if found on the other side of the law. One of the teachings they held close to was that they were to enter the kingdom of God with much tribulation. Sadly today's brand of Christianity has led to the erasing of that doctrine from many Christian minds.
