The Church today especially in the West enjoys enormous amounts of material prosperity that by 2000 alone, US Evangelicals had made 2.6 Trillion Dollars in income, unprecedented in Church History. [1] Therefore the virtue of enduring sufferings for Christ's sake has totally been neglected and replaced with teachings that promise total health and wealth for the believer while on earth.

In his defense and oral treatise, Stephen in the Book of Acts employs the term 'church' in his description of the children of Israel in the wilderness under the leadership of Moses. The children of Israel seemed not to have been aware of the 'separation' and 'coming out' that The Lord intended for  the  'church' in the wilderness and thus the longing for a return to Egypt.

If the Fear of God is not evident in the Church,then how do we expect the world to fear God? The Contemporary Church of our day has drastically lost the True Fear of The Lord that what we have is instead a fear of man. Yet the contrast was quite true and a reality in the early New Testament Church, The Fear of The Lord was present.

With profoundness, the first mention of the term 'Church' in the Book of Acts has to do with The Lord adding  members daily to the early Church. Again we notice the consistency with which The Lord takes ownership and care of His Church to add daily those who should be saved.

The subject of False Teachers and Deception was a big issue to the early church that the leadership of the early church clearly addressed this issue with clarity and great concern and passion. At one time Paul the Apostle calls on those who preached ‘another gospel’ to be ‘accursed’. John the Apostle at a certain time called on Christians not to even ‘associate’ or ‘welcome’ those who taught heresies.

From Civilizations ancient to our present Westernized Civilization, the Christian Faith has been under constant attack from philosophers of the day ranging from Atheists, Agnostics, to Secular Humanists, many of whom have made inroads into the Churches and Bible Seminaries. The Issue of The God of Heaven who exists while trouble and evil continue to persist on earth has troubled many even those among the Christian Church.
